The **diamond-coated sharpening steel** from our Basic collection is perfect for daily maintenance. The sharpening surface of the sharpening steel consists of relatively coarse diamond particles. These diamond particles sharpen deep into the steel. As such you quickly end up with results!

Diamond-coated sharpening steels are perfect for very blunt knives that are used on a daily basis or that quickly become blunt. Are you looking for a sharpening steel that removes a little less material and polishes the edges more? If so we recommend our ceramic sharpening steel.

## Use
You don't need water or oil to use the diamond-coated sharpening steel. When you use it the first couple times you notice how coarse the steel feels. After a couple tries, however, the sharpening steel will become finer. Literally.

Make sure you don't apply too much pressure as you sharpen your knives. The diamond particles remove a lot of material, you don't need to use any force.
