The core and also the handle of the strop is made of Oriental planewood. This core ensures that you always have a good base as you strop your knives. Both sides of this strop are enhanced with a leather surface. On one side the leather is smooth for fine results. This side is also best suited for a stropping paste or spray. The other side is enhanced with a coarse finish. This side is better suited for a stropping compound.
