The **Paddle Pocket Strop** is a compact strop you can easily take with you in your bag! Great if you wish to keep your knife sharp on the road! The core and also the handle of the strop is made of Oriental planewood. This core ensures that you always have a good base as you strop your knives. Both sides of this strop are enhanced with a leather surface. On one side the leather is smooth for fine results. This side is also best suited for a stropping paste or spray. The other side is enhanced with a coarse finish. This side is better suited for a stropping compound.

Our strops are bare upon delivery. This means that they do not include a stropping compound or diamond paste. As such you can decide which stropping compound you prefer.

## Stropping
Stropping is the final step in the sharpening process. It is also an indispensable step if you are looking for ultimate sharpness and a shiny edge!

As you strop the edge of your knife you remove the smallest burrs, scratches and other imperfections that emerged as you used your sharpening stone. That is why stropping will only work if your knife is already really sharp. To make stropping on a leather strop even more effective, you use a so-called stropping compound or stropping paste. This is an extremely fine polishing agent that ensures you will end up with incredibly sharp results even faster.
